Maple Hope Foundation

Job Title

Maple Hope Foundation is a Vancouver-based Canadian non-profit organization founded in 2014 by members of the Ukrainian community. The organization emerged from grassroots civic activism during the Revolution of Dignity and has since evolved into a major humanitarian actor supporting Ukraine and Ukrainians worldwide.

The Foundation’s mission is to provide relief from the impacts of war by supporting displaced Ukrainians in Canada and assisting communities in Ukraine through humanitarian aid, medical support, settlement services, and advocacy initiatives.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, Maple Hope Foundation has significantly expanded its work, delivering medical equipment to hospitals, supporting emergency care systems, and coordinating large-scale humanitarian relief efforts. The organization has provided millions of dollars in aid and developed partnerships with Canadian and international institutions to support Ukraine’s healthcare and emergency response systems.

A core part of its mission is mental health and psychosocial support. Through trauma-informed programs such as Healing the Wounds of the War Together, Maple Hope Foundation provides free counselling, group therapy, and community-based support for displaced Ukrainians in Canada, with a focus on women, youth, and vulnerable populations.

The organization also leads cultural, educational, and advocacy initiatives that promote Ukrainian identity, support integration in Canada, and strengthen community resilience through arts, events, and public programming.

Today, Maple Hope Foundation continues to work across humanitarian, medical, and psychosocial sectors, building long-term support systems for Ukrainians affected by war and displacement.
